Why AI Can Only See So Much

Lesson 1-6 · Watch on YouTube (opens in a new tab)

Long chats make AI worse, so start a fresh chat before the context window fills up.

    • The context window limit is how much the AI can hold at once, and it is counted in tokens.
    • As the window fills up, the quality of the answers drops quickly.
    • For a small task, close the chat and start a new one.
    • For a big project, ask for a handoff document, which is a text file that lets a new chat pick up where you left off.
    • As a warning sign, tell Claude to start every message with your first name, and when it stops doing so, the window is filling up.

Example: Ask, "Create a handoff document that would allow a brand new chat with zero context to pick up exactly where we left off."
